Wait. Isn't Gillette based in Boston? And they insist on Jeter as a spokesperson? What's up with that, Gillette? (Yes, we know this billboard is in NYC, but still...)

    Otherwise, great execution by BBDO.

  • MA Town Slogans.

    / Comments (0)

Last week, Salem unveiled its new town logo and slogan. After picking up on Mayor Driscoll herself tweeting about it, Boston Phoenix writer David Bernstein then asked people to come up with their own town slogans. This, of course, sparked the Twitterverse to react and beget the new hashtag: #MATownSlogans. And the rest is history.

    Some early favorites:

@jpitha Beverly: We’re Salem without the crazy.
@b_bas Wakefield: Nowhere near as awesome as Tim Wakefield.
@danwelch73 Reading: if you blink you’ll miss us.

What do you say? Have at it.

In this demo, the gaze of eleven viewers was monitored using an Eyelink 1000 (SR Research) infra-red camera-based eyetracker as they watched a clip of PT Anderson's "There Will Be Blood." Each circle represents each person's point of focus. The longer you stare, the bigger the circle gets. Cool, right? Just think of the possible applications...

Check out the rest of the research here and here.
