CP+B vs. Modernista!

If you haven't heard yet, Crispin Porter + Bogusky is scrapping their Old Navy Supermodelquins campaign for something more music-centric. This news made us think of another "hot shop" that fielded a "music-centric" effort for another clothing company back in the day.

The full breadth of Modernista's work for Gap isn't readily available on YouTube, but if you click around their old avant-garde site (we know), it's still possible to view most of it. The likes of Badly Drawn Boy, India.Arie, Ziggy Marley, Thievery Corp., a young Shannyn Sossamon and Will Ferrell/Neil Diamond, among others, made some nice contributions – it's definitely worth a look. We're still fans.

And no, the irony that Old Navy is owned by Gap, Inc. is not lost on us either.
