It's great to see how SCVNGR has integrated tech features and "kinesthetic" activities to garner attention rather than simply limiting/simplifying/preschool-izing their mobile app and mobile website, a la Foursquare. SCVNGR has the right idea by combining the hands-on appeal with discounts; their hybrid software definitely seems like it'll be attractive to the Foursquare & Bump & smartphone (of course) users, and those who subscribe to offer feeds such as Groupon, LivingSocial, and CampusDibs will surely find value in the discounts offered. I'm with EricLeist re: the value of the full brand experience — even if it's more effective on a subconscious level. (And you thought you were counting t-shirts absentmindedly... ha.) Sweet deal trekking around Boston College too — go Eagles :)
this app is a joke with a lot of money backing it.
