We are looking for a Media Intern. The Media Intern will be assigned to a supervisor within the media group and will work directly with all members of the group. The role of the media intern is to support the group and be responsible for handling basic administrative tasks and get involved in team projects as necessary.

We are looking for someone who has interpersonal savvy, a passion for brands and is insatiably curious about popular culture. We want you to think big, solve business problems and be self-motivated. In this role you will demonstrate your strong communication and analytical skills. You have uncompromising attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities, Skills and Abilities
- Track and analyze client and their competitor’s media spending
- Research target markets and new media opportunities
- Assisting in the media buys
- Update weekly status reports
- Maintaining media files and library
- Attend sales rep meetings, internal meetings and interact with other agency departments (Marketing, Creative, Research, Finance, Production and Resource Management.)
- Client maintenance (insertion orders, tracking of publication’s ad placement, media invoices, client and competitive positioning reports and competitive research)
- Learn the media buying process from buying through post-analysis and billing
- Obtain detailed knowledge of the client’s media schedule in order to answer media related questions confidently; become familiar with research methods and media resources (i.e. SRDS, through-the-book tracking)
- Partner with traffic and production to provide schedules, ad formats, closing dates
- Gain an understanding of the relationship between each department, and the timing and production considerations behind each media decision.
- Maintain media library and media kit files
- Be acquainted with relevant publications. Working with the entire department to update and discard outdated files.
- Update and distribute media plans, insertion orders, tracking reports
- Experience the entire media process from planning and buying through post-analysis procedures, to gain an understanding of the importance of each step in the process.

Position Requirements
- Current College Junior or Senior standing

Compensation: $10/hour
