Experience: 5-8 years experience in an agency environment working closely with clients, creative departments and technology teams. Integrated marketing experience is great and web/digital knowledge is essential. Applicants must have managed website design and development projects in previous roles. Must be a social media user and understand key social media channels. Experience (or interest) in strategic and analytical thinking is helpful.

Primary Responsibilities

Account Management
Serves as main point of client contact ensuring that day-to-day tasks are completed on time and on budget, inclusive of:

- Preparing the team for status and other client meetings, and running those meetings in an authoritative and organized manner

- Being available for and responsive to client calls, emails and meetings

- Managing and motivating internal and external creative and technology teams on key deliverables, to agreed timelines and budgets

- Dealing with client questions, issues, etc. in a calm, positive and pro-active manner

- Preparing documents such as power point presentations, SOWs, wireframes, content audits and analytics reports for projects

Takes a strategic view of accounts, seeking opportunities for organic business growth and ways in which to work with clients as a partner inclusive of:

- Keeping communication channels open with clients about their long-term goals and future plans. Listening and being receptive to client feedback and communication about business challenges

- Working in conjunction with senior account leadership to create strategy documents and proposals

- Voracious reading of industry resources to understand the latest and greatest information to share with the client

Teamwork and Internal Management
- Serve as a manager, coach and mentor for an Account Coordinator. Assist in developing AC skills by providing both on-the-job training and separate mentoring/guidance

- Ensuring that junior account management staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities and complete those in a timely fashion, i.e. updating documents on the extranet, completing call reports, updating status documents

- Work closely with the creative department to ensure client objectives are met. This includes preparing strong, informed creative strategies and planning/research documents. The Account Supervisor should be very involved in reviewing creative against the brief and ensuring all creative output is in line with client requirements and expectations

- Work closely with the technology department/technology partners on preparing functional specifications, overseeing the development process, Quality Assurance testing, scoping, etc.
