Description

The Editorial Director is the creative leader of all marketing, sales and classroom content for the Dragonfly brand, and all its programs.

The Editorial Director will either write or supervise the writing of everything from website and email copy to presentations, social media, and advertising materials for upcoming courses and programs.

The Editorial Director will be responsible for directing all Dragonfly messaging, voice, tone, and vision and creating a unified offering, while also maintaining the individual brand and voice of our content experts.

She/he should be a seasoned marketing, advertising and sales copywriter, as evidenced by her ability to craft copy that engages the Dragonfly audience and course participants, and is memorable, quotable, and often shared.

She/he will continually develop and evolve the Dragonfly publishing-platform vision to ensure all communications for all featured experts and courses align with Dragonfly’s goals and are appropriate for our audience in a given medium.

Along with creating a comprehensive Brand Voice and Editorial Guide, she is responsible for planning and implementing the editorial calendar across multiple programs. This includes staying abreast of industry developments and creating editorial content that responds to these trends; hiring and managing content partners; analyzing the success of all editorial content and adjusting the editorial strategy accordingly.

She/he reports to the CEO and works closely with Dragonfly’s curriculum development team and sales team to boost brand recognition and grow Dragonfly’s reputation as a disruptive innovator and thought leader in alternative health, wellness and mindfulness, with a global B2B2C audience of clinicians and health seekers.

Responsibilities:
Co-create Dragonfly’s content strategy and calendar with CEO and Curriculum Director.
Manage and implement the content strategy and calendar, including but not limited to: advertising, email marketing, social media, blog, podcast and classroom content.
Oversee copy across Dragonfly’s digital ecosystem
Create relevant, well-informed, thought-provoking content that establishes Dragonfly and Dragonfly experts as leaders in alternative health.
Connect Dragonfly to a broader audience by tapping into relevant global stories, cultural trends, and events
Create and manage a network of writers and journalists
Collaborate with Design Director to fulfill creative content needs
Approve visual, video and written content prior to production and deployment
Script writing and editing: comfort with storytelling in the video/film format

Requirements:
Demonstrated marketing and communication skills
Demonstrated marketing and sales copy writing skills
Experience in cross-platform content creation
Digital ecosystem expertise
Experience with Hubspot and Squarespace
Flawless grammar
Love of storytelling

Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment
