Today is One Boston Day.

By / / “One Boston Day will inspire all of us to come together as the community we are and share the spirit of Boston by giving back,” Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh said in a statement declaring April 15, the date of the Boston Marathon bombing, to be One Boston Day. The mayor’s office said the new tradition is intended to honor the “resiliency, generosity, and strength” the city showed in the response to the Marathon terror attack that shocked all of us two years ago today.
