The Homeless as WiFi Hotspots at SXSW.

The brainchild of BBH Labs, the "experiment" supposedly takes after the business model of the homeless selling street newspapers to support themselves. Thirteen people from Front Steps Shelter in Austin were given $20 up front and then equipped with mobile WiFi devices and the shirt you see above. Then people at SXSW who want to use the 4G hotspot are asked to give a $2 donation for every 15 minutes of WiFi access. Needless to say, the new "service" has been causing quite a stir...

What do you think?
