Lazy Billboard, Can't Sell a Thing

If you're headed through the U.S./Canada border near Vancouver, you'll see this awesome art-installment created by Seattle's, Lead Pencil Studio.

As Lead Pencil Studio's Daniel Mihalyo describes it, "Borrowing the effectiveness of billboards to redirect attention away from the landscape... this permanently open aperture between nations works to frame nothing more than a clear view of the changing atmospheric conditions beyond."

Interestingly enough, this project was actually funded by the U.S. federal government through the GSA's Design Excellence Program.

Pretty damn cool.

Check out more on this project here and even another no-sell billboard here.
